Outlet repair and installation
A dead outlet is usually a fast, inexpensive fix once someone finds the failed connection. Adding outlets is a clean half-day job, whether that is a kitchen island, a garage freezer, a home office, or a bedroom that has two and needs six. We use spec-grade devices and wire them to the screws, not the push-in connectors that cause most of the dead outlets we get called about.

Signs you need this
Plugs fall out or only work when you wiggle them
The contacts inside the outlet are worn. A worn outlet arcs and overheats, so replace it rather than taping the plug in place.
No power and the breaker is not tripped
Usually a failed connection at another outlet on the same run. Quick to trace once you know what to look for.
No GFCI in the kitchen, bath, garage, or outside
Current code requires it in all of those areas. It is the cheapest life-safety upgrade in the house.
Extension cords doing a permanent job
That is a sign the room is short on circuits, not just outlets. We can add a dedicated circuit instead.

Permits and inspection
Replacing outlets is maintenance and is not permitted. Adding a new circuit or a significant number of new outlets is permitted work in the Town of Parker and Douglas County, and we pull it and meet the inspector. Verify current thresholds with your jurisdiction.

“We originally called Allsafe to look at adding some new lighting to our dining room and fixing some lighting issues in our bathrooms. Judd from Allsafe informed us there were concerns about our electrical service panel but could do the repairs we asked. We put the project on hold due to some urgent medical issues. About 2 months later we had an outlet in the kitchen arc and burn out. Our electrical service panel breakers didn’t trip appropriately. We called Judd back out to assess the situation. He was very thorough in evaluating what was going on with our electrical system. He found multiple issues with our ancient service panel and improper grounding throughout the house. Judd and his team replaced our electrical service panel, multiple outlets, installed new bathroom light fixtures, and installed new recessed lighting in our dining area. They found and fixed a few other minor issues along the way at no additional cost. Working with Allsafe was awesome! “recently had AllSafe Electric come out to do some work at my place, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. “Master electrician. We had a job list and he and his partner too care of fan installation, 2 dedicated electrical outlets, moving one plug in lower position. New smoke detectors because they were outdated. He went to home depot to purchase the smoke detectors I can't explain how comfortable i felt with all of this work If we were doing stars. “Judson Cushing and the AllSafe Electric team continue to impress. Judson recently installed an outlet above my pool table along with a wall switch for a new pool table light. The placement was thoughtful, the install was clean, and the finished product looks like it was always meant to be there. Functionally perfect and aesthetically spot-on. This is at least the third project AllSafe Electirc has completed for me (which includes installing an auxiliary panel, running new circuits, and troubleshooting problems). Common questions
How much does it cost to replace one outlet?
A straightforward replacement sits at the low end of the range above, and the per-outlet price drops when we do several in one visit.
Can you add an outlet without opening the wall?
Often, yes. We can fish a new outlet off a nearby box or circuit with minimal drywall work, and we tell you before we start if a patch will be needed.
What is a GFCI and do I need one?
A GFCI shuts the outlet off in a fraction of a second if current leaks to ground, which is the scenario that causes electrocution. Code requires them in kitchens, bathrooms, garages, basements, and outdoors.
Why do my outlets keep going bad?
Almost always because the original installer used push-in backstab connectors, which loosen over time. We wire to the screws, which do not.
