Permits and inspection
Standby generators need an electrical permit and usually a mechanical or gas permit, plus inspection. Some HOAs in Pradera, Castle Pines and Castle Rock have placement and screening rules. We handle the jurisdiction, and our Douglas County HOA guide covers the association side.

Common questions
What size generator do I need?
It depends on whether you want the whole house or just essentials such as the furnace, fridge, well, sump, and some lights and outlets. We run the numbers on your actual loads rather than quoting a default 22kW.
Natural gas or propane?
If you have natural gas at the house that is usually simplest, with no tank and no refills. Propane makes sense on acreage without gas service. We confirm the meter or tank can supply the demand.
How much does a whole-house generator cost in Colorado?
Installed, most residential projects land in the range above. The spread is real, because a small essential-circuits system and a large whole-house unit with a long gas run are very different jobs.
How loud is it, and how close to the house can it go?
Modern units are about as loud as an AC condenser. Placement has to meet clearance from windows, doors, and the meter, plus any HOA rules, and we site it to satisfy all three.
