Electrician in The Pinery, CO
The Pinery The work has a distinct character. These are largely 1970s and 80s homes on big treed lots, which means two things. First, the panels: this is where we still find Federal Pacific and Zinsco equipment, both of which have a documented history of breakers failing to trip under fault, and replacement is the fix rather than an upsell. Second, the lots: mature trees, outbuildings, long driveways and gates mean buried feeds, exterior lighting and generator work come up far more often than they do in a newer subdivision. If you are buying here, an electrical inspection before closing is genuinely worth the money, because what is behind the panel cover in a fifty-year-old home is not something a general home inspection will tell you.

Electrical services we provide in The Pinery
What The Pinery homes are like electrically
The Pinery is where Parker-area homes get older. Much of it is 1970s and 80s construction on larger, treed lots, and that era brings specific problems: Federal Pacific and Zinsco panels that should be replaced rather than repaired, ungrounded two-prong circuits, and the occasional aluminum branch run. Original 100A services are common and undersized for how these homes are actually used now. On the flip side, the lots are big and the trees are mature, so outdoor lighting and buried feeds to sheds, shops and gates come up far more often here than in newer subdivisions.

Permits and inspections in The Pinery
Douglas County Building Division
The Pinery is unincorporated Douglas County, so permits go through the county rather than the Town of Parker. Panel and service upgrades, new circuits, EV chargers, hot tubs and standby generators all require a permit and inspection. We file with Douglas County, coordinate the CORE disconnect and reconnect on service work, and meet the inspector. Verify current fees with Douglas County before scheduling.
Permit rules and fees change. We confirm current requirements with the jurisdiction before every permitted job. See our permit guides.
Who powers your home in The Pinery
CORE Electric CooperativeVerify your address
The Pinery sits in CORE Electric Cooperative territory rather than Xcel. That matters for rebates: most Colorado rebate guidance you will find online assumes Xcel and does not apply here. Confirm your address on CORE's service map.

“We did not have power coming through a circuit in our garage. When I called on a Friday morning, I fully expected we would have to wait until after the weekend for an electrician to come out. But Jud was able to come diagnose the issue within just a few hours! I was very impressed, and so happy that he was also able to fix the problem very quickly. Jud was very professional, explained everything so well, and is very trustworthy.”Read the full review

“We had a great experience with Allsafe Electric. At the initial consult, we discussed the work we wanted done, and Jud expertly explained the options for how he could get it done clean and cost effective. He didn't try to push or upsell anything. His estimate was clear and fair, and he was flexible when we asked to reschedule the date of work. Once scheduled he showed up right on time and did clean, quality work. The work included relocating our EV charger hookup, adding a new outlet, installation of both an interior and exterior ceiling fan box, a new ethernet cable plug, and a new outlet for an induction cooktop. Professional, communicative, and easy to work with. We'd absolutely use Allsafe again and recommend Jud to anyone in the Parker area.”Read the full review

“Over the past couple years we have been stumbling through the repairs of construction defects. Many of those defects involved electrical. Along with new defects, we still have some old electrical that was not made up to date by the previous subcontractor. Judd and the AllSafe crew have helped navigate and make repairs as we find them. It’s been such a relief to have knowledgeable electricians help keep our family safe and regain some of our creature comforts. We appreciate knowing someone around we can count on for help. Thank you for your patients and empathy for us during all this. We really appreciates good people. Thank you. The Black Family”Read the full review

“All Safe is a fantastic electrician company. They are great communicators as to when they will arrive and work in a clean orderly fashion. They installed new lighting fixtures, replaced a broken GFI, replaced switches, repaired an outlet. They did a great job I highly recommend them.”

“Judd was great. I called for an estimate, they came right out, game a good price, i hired them, they showed up right away, did a great job, took care of my gear and my dogs, and pleasure to work with. Allsafe installed a new 20-amp line for my stereo and installed a whole house surge protector and of course had to fix some issues with my breaker panel because my house was built recently by a homebuilder that took some short cuts.”Read the full review

Questions from The Pinery homeowners
Do Pinery permits go through Parker or Douglas County?
Douglas County. The Pinery is unincorporated, so the Town of Parker Building Division has no jurisdiction there. We confirm which office covers your exact address before filing, because the boundary is not always obvious from the street.
I have a Federal Pacific panel in my Pinery home. Is it really a problem?
Yes, and it is worth taking seriously. Federal Pacific Stab-Lok breakers have a documented history of failing to trip under fault conditions, which is the single job a breaker exists to do. Replacement is the fix. We will show you the label so you can see what you have rather than taking our word for it.
Is The Pinery on CORE or Xcel?
CORE Electric Cooperative for the large majority of addresses. This affects which rebate and time-of-use programs you qualify for, especially on EV chargers. We confirm your provider before quoting anything that depends on a rebate.
Can you run power to a shed, shop or gate out here?
Yes, and it is common work in The Pinery given the lot sizes. A buried feed needs a permit, correct burial depth, proper conduit and a disconnect at the far end. We handle the trenching plan, the permit and the inspection.
Are outages bad enough here to justify a generator?
It depends where you are. The more treed and exposed sections lose power in wind and snow events more often than central Parker does. We size standby units honestly, including telling you when a smaller unit covering well pump, furnace and a few circuits makes more sense than whole-home coverage.
