Home wiring repair and rewiring

Most homes here do not need a full rewire. They need specific problems fixed: aluminum branch circuits pigtailed correctly, a run damaged by a nail or a rodent, or new circuits for a finished basement. When a rewire genuinely is the right call, which happens in some 1970s Pinery and Ponderosa homes and older Castle Rock stock, we stage it room by room so you are never without power for long.

Do any of these sound familiar?

Signs you need this

01

Silver branch wiring in a house built 1965 to 1975

That is aluminum branch wiring. It is not a teardown, but the connections need proper correction with rated connectors.

02

Warm cover plates or a faint plastic smell in several rooms

Connections failing at multiple points, often from age or from the original wiring method.

03

Cloth-covered or ungrounded two-prong wiring

Common in pre-1970 homes. Grounding and selective replacement bring it up to a safe standard.

04

A renovation, an addition, or a finished basement

New square footage needs new circuits sized and run to current code, and it is far cheaper before the drywall.

What it costs

$300to$24,000

What moves the price
a single repair versus remediating aluminum throughout versus a full rewire, plus access above the ceilings.
What is included
copper materials, rated connectors, patching coordination, and the permit and inspection where required.

Estimated range, reviewed regularly. Your exact price is fixed in writing before any work begins.

What the price covers

  • An honest assessment of whether this is a repair or a genuine rewire
  • A written scope with a room-by-room sequence and a price
  • Copper conductors and rated connectors throughout
  • The permit filed and the inspector met on site
  • Essential circuits kept live while the work is staged
  • Drywall patching coordinated so you are not left chasing a second trade

How the job goes

  1. 1

We inspect accessible wiring, the panel, and a sample of boxes, then tell you honestly whether this is a repair or a rewire.

  2. 2

You get a written scope with a room-by-room sequence and a price.

  3. 3

We pull the permit, do the work in stages, and keep the essential circuits live.

  4. 4

The jurisdiction inspects, and we coordinate the drywall patching.

Permits and inspection

Rewiring and new-circuit work is permitted and inspected by the Town of Parker, Douglas County, or the relevant city. We handle the application and meet the inspector. Fees and process differ by jurisdiction, so see our permit guides and verify before scheduling.

We did not have power coming through a circuit in our garage. When I called on a Friday morning, I fully expected we would have to wait until after the weekend for an electrician to come out. But Jud was able to come diagnose the issue within just a few hours! I was very impressed, and so happy that he was also able to fix the problem very quickly. Jud was very professional, explained everything so well, and is very trustworthy.

Judson Cushing and the AllSafe Electric team continue to impress. Judson recently installed an outlet above my pool table along with a wall switch for a new pool table light. The placement was thoughtful, the install was clean, and the finished product looks like it was always meant to be there. Functionally perfect and aesthetically spot-on. This is at least the third project AllSafe Electirc has completed for me (which includes installing an auxiliary panel, running new circuits, and troubleshooting problems). As always, Judson and Shawn were very responsive, on time, did a fantastic job in short order. They clearly take pride in their work. It is hard to find contractors who combine technical skill with real customer focus, but AllSafe Electric does. I couldn’t be happier. Judson and Allsafe Electric have absolutely and repeatedly earned my business and recognition.

I highly recommend Allsafe Electric! Jud especially is awesome and will make sure you are completely happy with their work. From the free estimate to the actual project (we had our electrical panel updated so we could get more space to add circuits for a basement renovation project), we had an excellent experience. We had three different estimates done, and Allsafe came back with the best price and the most safety features. I liked that Jud came out to do the estimate AND was the main person to come do the actual work. He responds back quickly to any questions you have and has great customer service. We're going to have them add the new circuits in our basement as well. You'll be happy going with Allsafe for your electrical needs!

Allsafe Electric is my go-to Electrician. Judson and Shawn are extremely responsive, and VERY customer focused. They also do great work and are reliable - they show up!! Timely!! For us, AllSafe Electric have installed an auxiliary service box, run new 50-amp circuits for an induction cooktop and EV charging, and performed general troubleshooting and repairs, all to our complete satisfaction.

I chose AllSafe Electric because their project proposal was the most detailed and comprehensive of those I received. Once the project began, I was thoroughly impressed by their expertise, workmanship, and attention to detail. An excellent experience. Most highly recommended.

We had a great experience with Allsafe Electric. At the initial consult, we discussed the work we wanted done, and Jud expertly explained the options for how he could get it done clean and cost effective. He didn't try to push or upsell anything. His estimate was clear and fair, and he was flexible when we asked to reschedule the date of work. Once scheduled he showed up right on time and did clean, quality work. The work included relocating our EV charger hookup, adding a new outlet, installation of both an interior and exterior ceiling fan box, a new ethernet cable plug, and a new outlet for an induction cooktop. Professional, communicative, and easy to work with. We'd absolutely use Allsafe again and recommend Jud to anyone in the Parker area.

Over the past couple years we have been stumbling through the repairs of construction defects. Many of those defects involved electrical. Along with new defects, we still have some old electrical that was not made up to date by the previous subcontractor. Judd and the AllSafe crew have helped navigate and make repairs as we find them. It’s been such a relief to have knowledgeable electricians help keep our family safe and regain some of our creature comforts. We appreciate knowing someone around we can count on for help. Thank you for your patients and empathy for us during all this. We really appreciates good people. Thank you. The Black Family

Common questions

Does my house need a full rewire?

Usually not. Most calls are resolved with targeted repairs and connection corrections. We will tell you if a rewire is genuinely warranted, and why.

Is aluminum wiring a dealbreaker on a house I am buying?

No. It is a known, correctable condition. Proper pigtailing with rated connectors, or a partial replacement, resolves it and satisfies most inspectors and insurers.

Will you tear up my walls?

We minimise it by fishing walls, using existing chases, and working from unfinished spaces. Where a patch is unavoidable we mark it and coordinate the repair.

How long does a rewire take?

A staged whole-home rewire is typically several days to two weeks depending on size and access. You keep power throughout.

Where we do wiring & rewiring

That includes Parker, Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Centennial and The Pinery, plus every other town on our service area page.
