Electrician in Dove Valley, CO
Dove Valley sits right next to Centennial Airport, mixing residential streets with business-park development, and the residential work follows a familiar Front Range pattern. Homes are largely 1980s through 2000s, structurally and electrically sound, running original 100A or 150A services that were sized for a very different household. Finished basements and home offices are especially common here, and both are reliable triggers for discovering that the panel has no room left. The fix is usually straightforward and the honest version of it starts with a load calculation, because the answer is sometimes a 200A heavy-up and sometimes just rebalancing what is already there. One local note: Dove Valley is Xcel territory while addresses a few minutes south in Douglas County are on CORE, which trips people up on rebates.

Electrical services we provide in Dove Valley
What Dove Valley homes are like electrically
Dove Valley sits near Centennial Airport and mixes residential pockets with business park development. The homes are mostly 1980s through 2000s on standard lots, generally sound, with the usual pattern for that era: panels sized before EVs and hot tubs were common, and original 100A or 150A services that are now working harder than they were designed to. Because the area is close to the airport and major corridors, finished basements and home offices are common, and those additions are a frequent trigger for needing more circuits than the panel has room for.

Permits and inspections in Dove Valley
Arapahoe County
Dove Valley is unincorporated Arapahoe County, so the county building division permits and inspects electrical work. Panel and service upgrades, EV chargers, hot tub circuits and generator installs all require a permit. We file with Arapahoe County, coordinate the utility on service work, and meet the inspector.
Permit rules and fees change. We confirm current requirements with the jurisdiction before every permitted job. See our permit guides.

“We did not have power coming through a circuit in our garage. When I called on a Friday morning, I fully expected we would have to wait until after the weekend for an electrician to come out. But Jud was able to come diagnose the issue within just a few hours! I was very impressed, and so happy that he was also able to fix the problem very quickly. Jud was very professional, explained everything so well, and is very trustworthy.”Read the full review

“We had a great experience with Allsafe Electric. At the initial consult, we discussed the work we wanted done, and Jud expertly explained the options for how he could get it done clean and cost effective. He didn't try to push or upsell anything. His estimate was clear and fair, and he was flexible when we asked to reschedule the date of work. Once scheduled he showed up right on time and did clean, quality work. The work included relocating our EV charger hookup, adding a new outlet, installation of both an interior and exterior ceiling fan box, a new ethernet cable plug, and a new outlet for an induction cooktop. Professional, communicative, and easy to work with. We'd absolutely use Allsafe again and recommend Jud to anyone in the Parker area.”Read the full review

“Over the past couple years we have been stumbling through the repairs of construction defects. Many of those defects involved electrical. Along with new defects, we still have some old electrical that was not made up to date by the previous subcontractor. Judd and the AllSafe crew have helped navigate and make repairs as we find them. It’s been such a relief to have knowledgeable electricians help keep our family safe and regain some of our creature comforts. We appreciate knowing someone around we can count on for help. Thank you for your patients and empathy for us during all this. We really appreciates good people. Thank you. The Black Family”Read the full review

“All Safe is a fantastic electrician company. They are great communicators as to when they will arrive and work in a clean orderly fashion. They installed new lighting fixtures, replaced a broken GFI, replaced switches, repaired an outlet. They did a great job I highly recommend them.”

“Judd was great. I called for an estimate, they came right out, game a good price, i hired them, they showed up right away, did a great job, took care of my gear and my dogs, and pleasure to work with. Allsafe installed a new 20-amp line for my stereo and installed a whole house surge protector and of course had to fix some issues with my breaker panel because my house was built recently by a homebuilder that took some short cuts.”Read the full review

Questions from Dove Valley homeowners
Is Dove Valley permitted through Arapahoe County?
Yes. Dove Valley is unincorporated Arapahoe County, so the county building division handles permits and inspections. We file and meet the inspector.
I am finishing a basement. How many circuits will I need?
It depends on the layout, but a finished basement typically needs dedicated circuits for general receptacles, lighting, and often a bathroom or wet bar, with AFCI and GFCI protection as required. The question underneath it is usually whether your panel has room, which a load calculation answers before you frame anything.
Is Dove Valley on Xcel or CORE?
Generally Xcel Energy, unlike Douglas County addresses just south of here, which are on CORE. It matters for rebates on EV chargers and similar work, so we confirm before quoting.
Can you add an EV charger in my garage?
Usually yes. The load calculation comes first to confirm your service supports it, then it is a dedicated circuit, the right breaker, and a permit with Arapahoe County. We handle the permit and inspection as part of the job.
