Electrician in Foxfield, CO
Foxfield is unusual for how rural it feels given how close it is to the metro. These are one to five acre horse properties, and the electrical system almost always extends well past the house: a barn or loafing shed with its own sub-panel, tack room circuits, arena or exterior lighting, automatic gates, and water or pump equipment. The houses themselves are mostly 1980s through 2000s and generally in decent shape, so the calls tend to come from everything else. Buried feeds between buildings are where problems eventually surface, whether from age, rodent damage, or a trench dug by someone who did not know the run was there. Worth knowing: unlike the Douglas County areas just south, Foxfield is generally Xcel rather than CORE, which changes your rebate eligibility.

Electrical services we provide in Foxfield
What Foxfield homes are like electrically
Foxfield is large-lot horse property, roughly one to five acres per home, which makes it electrically unusual for how close it sits to the metro. Most homes are 1980s through 2000s, generally in sound condition, but the load is spread across more than the house: barns, loafing sheds, tack rooms, arena lighting, gates, and water systems. Buried feeds between buildings are the norm, and those runs are where most problems eventually appear.

Permits and inspections in Foxfield
Town of Foxfield with Arapahoe County inspection
Foxfield is a small incorporated town that works alongside Arapahoe County for building services, so electrical permits and inspections generally route through the county process. Horse-property features matter here: barn and loafing-shed feeds, arena or exterior lighting, well and pump circuits, and automatic gates are all permitted work. We confirm the current filing route for your address before starting rather than assuming.
Permit rules and fees change. We confirm current requirements with the jurisdiction before every permitted job. See our permit guides.

“We did not have power coming through a circuit in our garage. When I called on a Friday morning, I fully expected we would have to wait until after the weekend for an electrician to come out. But Jud was able to come diagnose the issue within just a few hours! I was very impressed, and so happy that he was also able to fix the problem very quickly. Jud was very professional, explained everything so well, and is very trustworthy.”Read the full review

“We had a great experience with Allsafe Electric. At the initial consult, we discussed the work we wanted done, and Jud expertly explained the options for how he could get it done clean and cost effective. He didn't try to push or upsell anything. His estimate was clear and fair, and he was flexible when we asked to reschedule the date of work. Once scheduled he showed up right on time and did clean, quality work. The work included relocating our EV charger hookup, adding a new outlet, installation of both an interior and exterior ceiling fan box, a new ethernet cable plug, and a new outlet for an induction cooktop. Professional, communicative, and easy to work with. We'd absolutely use Allsafe again and recommend Jud to anyone in the Parker area.”Read the full review

“Over the past couple years we have been stumbling through the repairs of construction defects. Many of those defects involved electrical. Along with new defects, we still have some old electrical that was not made up to date by the previous subcontractor. Judd and the AllSafe crew have helped navigate and make repairs as we find them. It’s been such a relief to have knowledgeable electricians help keep our family safe and regain some of our creature comforts. We appreciate knowing someone around we can count on for help. Thank you for your patients and empathy for us during all this. We really appreciates good people. Thank you. The Black Family”Read the full review

“All Safe is a fantastic electrician company. They are great communicators as to when they will arrive and work in a clean orderly fashion. They installed new lighting fixtures, replaced a broken GFI, replaced switches, repaired an outlet. They did a great job I highly recommend them.”

“Judd was great. I called for an estimate, they came right out, game a good price, i hired them, they showed up right away, did a great job, took care of my gear and my dogs, and pleasure to work with. Allsafe installed a new 20-amp line for my stereo and installed a whole house surge protector and of course had to fix some issues with my breaker panel because my house was built recently by a homebuilder that took some short cuts.”Read the full review

Questions from Foxfield homeowners
Do you do barn and outbuilding electrical work?
Yes, and it is a lot of what Foxfield calls are. Sub-panels in barns, tack room circuits, exterior and arena lighting, gate feeds and water system circuits are all standard work. Buildings fed from the house need a permit, correct burial depth and a disconnect at the far end.
Is Foxfield on Xcel or CORE?
Generally Xcel Energy, which differs from the Douglas County areas just to the south. It matters for rebate eligibility on things like EV chargers, so we confirm from your bill before quoting anything rebate-dependent.
Lights in the barn dim when the well pump kicks on. Is that a problem?
It is worth looking at. Some voltage drop on pump start is normal, but pronounced dimming can point to an undersized or aging feed to the outbuilding, or a loose connection somewhere in the run. Both are fixable, and the loose connection version is the one you want found early.
Who handles permits in Foxfield?
Foxfield is a small town that works alongside Arapahoe County for building services, so inspections generally route through the county. We confirm the current process for your address and handle the filing.
