Electrician in Greenwood Village, CO
Greenwood Village is an estate market, and residential electrical work there reflects it. Services are usually already 200A, sub-panels are normal rather than exceptional, and the majority of what goes wrong is outside the house: landscape and architectural lighting, gate and driveway feeds, pool and spa circuits, and buried runs to outbuildings. Those are the components that take twenty Colorado winters of freeze and thaw, and they fail long before interior wiring does. Two practical local notes. Greenwood Village permits through its own city building division rather than Arapahoe County, and it is Xcel territory while the Douglas County towns a few minutes south are on CORE, which regularly trips people up on rebate eligibility. We confirm both before quoting. Note that we are a strictly residential contractor, so the Tech Center commercial corridor is outside what we do.

Electrical services we provide in Greenwood Village
What Greenwood Village homes are like electrically
Greenwood Village spans large-lot estates and established 1970s through 1990s neighborhoods, with a commercial core along the Tech Center corridor that we do not serve. On the residential side the systems are bigger than average: 200A services are common, sub-panels are frequent, and there is usually substantial exterior work, landscape lighting, gate feeds, pool and spa circuits, water features. Older estates on acreage often have long buried runs between the house and outbuildings that were installed decades ago.

Permits and inspections in Greenwood Village
City of Greenwood Village
Greenwood Village runs its own building division. Panel and service work, EV chargers, generators, hot tubs and landscape lighting circuits are permitted and inspected by the city. Several neighborhoods also carry HOA architectural review, which is separate from the permit and applies to anything visible outside. We file the city permit and flag when an HOA submittal is likely needed too.
Permit rules and fees change. We confirm current requirements with the jurisdiction before every permitted job. See our permit guides.

“We did not have power coming through a circuit in our garage. When I called on a Friday morning, I fully expected we would have to wait until after the weekend for an electrician to come out. But Jud was able to come diagnose the issue within just a few hours! I was very impressed, and so happy that he was also able to fix the problem very quickly. Jud was very professional, explained everything so well, and is very trustworthy.”Read the full review

“We had a great experience with Allsafe Electric. At the initial consult, we discussed the work we wanted done, and Jud expertly explained the options for how he could get it done clean and cost effective. He didn't try to push or upsell anything. His estimate was clear and fair, and he was flexible when we asked to reschedule the date of work. Once scheduled he showed up right on time and did clean, quality work. The work included relocating our EV charger hookup, adding a new outlet, installation of both an interior and exterior ceiling fan box, a new ethernet cable plug, and a new outlet for an induction cooktop. Professional, communicative, and easy to work with. We'd absolutely use Allsafe again and recommend Jud to anyone in the Parker area.”Read the full review

“Over the past couple years we have been stumbling through the repairs of construction defects. Many of those defects involved electrical. Along with new defects, we still have some old electrical that was not made up to date by the previous subcontractor. Judd and the AllSafe crew have helped navigate and make repairs as we find them. It’s been such a relief to have knowledgeable electricians help keep our family safe and regain some of our creature comforts. We appreciate knowing someone around we can count on for help. Thank you for your patients and empathy for us during all this. We really appreciates good people. Thank you. The Black Family”Read the full review

“All Safe is a fantastic electrician company. They are great communicators as to when they will arrive and work in a clean orderly fashion. They installed new lighting fixtures, replaced a broken GFI, replaced switches, repaired an outlet. They did a great job I highly recommend them.”

“Judd was great. I called for an estimate, they came right out, game a good price, i hired them, they showed up right away, did a great job, took care of my gear and my dogs, and pleasure to work with. Allsafe installed a new 20-amp line for my stereo and installed a whole house surge protector and of course had to fix some issues with my breaker panel because my house was built recently by a homebuilder that took some short cuts.”Read the full review

Questions from Greenwood Village homeowners
Do you work on the large estate properties here?
Yes, on the residential side. Bigger homes usually mean a main panel plus one or more sub-panels, extensive exterior lighting and buried feeds to outbuildings or gates. That is standard work for us, though fault-finding on a long buried run takes longer than a subdivision call and we price that honestly.
Do you take commercial work in the Tech Center?
No. Allsafe is a strictly residential contractor, houses rather than office buildings. If your address is commercial we will tell you straight away rather than taking the job and subcontracting it.
Is Greenwood Village on Xcel or CORE?
Xcel Energy. That differs from Parker, Castle Rock and the rest of Douglas County just south, which are on CORE. It matters for EV charger and heat pump rebate eligibility, so we check before quoting anything rebate-dependent.
Sections of my landscape lighting have stopped working. What causes that?
Usually a failed transformer, a corroded buried splice, or a run nicked during landscaping. It is one of the most common calls we get in this area given how much exterior lighting these properties carry. We trace the actual fault rather than replacing the whole system by default.
