Smart home and automation wiring

The hard part of smart home devices is rarely the app. It is the wiring behind the wall. Smart switches need a neutral. Video doorbells need the right transformer. Smart thermostats often need a C-wire. We handle that side: the neutrals, the transformers, the wiring, and getting the device onto your network and working before we pack up.

Do any of these sound familiar?

Signs you need this

01

You bought smart switches and there is no neutral

Common in homes built before the mid-1980s. We can add the neutral, or fit switches that do not need one.

02

A video doorbell that keeps going offline

Almost always an undersized doorbell transformer. A quick swap fixes it for good.

03

A smart thermostat asking for a C-wire

We run the C-wire, or fit an adapter at the furnace board where running one is impractical.

04

A drawer of half-configured devices

We would rather set it up once, properly, than have you fight an app on a Saturday.

What it costs

$145to$1,600

What moves the price
device count, whether neutrals or a C-wire have to be added, and any hub or panel work.
What is included
installation, wiring changes, network setup for the device, and a working demo.

Estimated range, reviewed regularly. Your exact price is fixed in writing before any work begins.

What the price covers

  • A check of every box and circuit against what each device actually needs
  • Neutrals added, doorbell transformers upgraded, C-wires run
  • Devices installed, joined to your Wi-Fi or hub, and sensibly named
  • Scenes and groups set up the way you actually use the rooms
  • A walkthrough with everything demonstrated working
  • Old devices removed and packaging taken away

We did not have power coming through a circuit in our garage. When I called on a Friday morning, I fully expected we would have to wait until after the weekend for an electrician to come out. But Jud was able to come diagnose the issue within just a few hours! I was very impressed, and so happy that he was also able to fix the problem very quickly. Jud was very professional, explained everything so well, and is very trustworthy.

I chose AllSafe Electric because their project proposal was the most detailed and comprehensive of those I received. Once the project began, I was thoroughly impressed by their expertise, workmanship, and attention to detail. An excellent experience. Most highly recommended.

We had a great experience with Allsafe Electric. At the initial consult, we discussed the work we wanted done, and Jud expertly explained the options for how he could get it done clean and cost effective. He didn't try to push or upsell anything. His estimate was clear and fair, and he was flexible when we asked to reschedule the date of work. Once scheduled he showed up right on time and did clean, quality work. The work included relocating our EV charger hookup, adding a new outlet, installation of both an interior and exterior ceiling fan box, a new ethernet cable plug, and a new outlet for an induction cooktop. Professional, communicative, and easy to work with. We'd absolutely use Allsafe again and recommend Jud to anyone in the Parker area.

Over the past couple years we have been stumbling through the repairs of construction defects. Many of those defects involved electrical. Along with new defects, we still have some old electrical that was not made up to date by the previous subcontractor. Judd and the AllSafe crew have helped navigate and make repairs as we find them. It’s been such a relief to have knowledgeable electricians help keep our family safe and regain some of our creature comforts. We appreciate knowing someone around we can count on for help. Thank you for your patients and empathy for us during all this. We really appreciates good people. Thank you. The Black Family

All Safe is a fantastic electrician company. They are great communicators as to when they will arrive and work in a clean orderly fashion. They installed new lighting fixtures, replaced a broken GFI, replaced switches, repaired an outlet. They did a great job I highly recommend them.

Judd was great. I called for an estimate, they came right out, game a good price, i hired them, they showed up right away, did a great job, took care of my gear and my dogs, and pleasure to work with. Allsafe installed a new 20-amp line for my stereo and installed a whole house surge protector and of course had to fix some issues with my breaker panel because my house was built recently by a homebuilder that took some short cuts.

Common questions

Do all smart switches need a neutral wire?

Most do. Some newer models work without one but can cause flicker or a minimum-load issue with LED bulbs. We check your boxes and recommend accordingly.

Why does my video doorbell keep dropping offline?

Usually the existing doorbell transformer is 10VA and the camera needs 16 to 24VA. Replacing the transformer is a small job that solves it permanently.

Can you set up the whole system, not just wire it?

Yes. We get each device onto your network, into the app, and grouped the way you want it, and we do not leave until it works.

Which platforms do you work with?

The common ones, covering the major switch, doorbell, thermostat and hub brands. If you have a preference, tell us and we will confirm compatibility before anything is bought.

That includes Parker, Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Centennial and The Pinery, plus every other town on our service area page.
